Radical Prosperity Project

Mission

To create a catalytic community for research, healing, and regeneration of nature and humanity. To provide transformative experiences through equine assisted learning, nature immersion, wellness retreats, and cultural events in the unique sand hills of Crystal Beach Lake. Guests and residents will prosper in an innovative tiny village coupled with a community centre and organic orchard.

Values

Nurturing

We believe in generating new life, treating life with compassion, and the healing of trauma. This manifests as:

  • Bringing new life into the world to regenerate the planet and society.
  • Healing damaged spaces and persons.
  • Helping and empowering those in need.
  • Kindness and respect in our interactions with humans and our ecosystem.

Wisdom

We believe in wise responses to the world around us. This manifests as:

  • Holistic and synchronous considerations of decisions.
  • Measured reactions, avoiding extremes unless confronted with extremes.
  • Mindfulness of emotion, motivation, and bias.
  • Setting meaningful boundaries.

Collective

We believe in building community, culture, and meaningful leadership. This manifests as:

  • Adopting the 9 principles of Good Governance: Participation, Consensus oriented, Accountability, Transparency, Responsiveness, Effectiveness and efficiency, Equality and inclusiveness, Rule of Law, and Strategic Vision
  • Generosity with capital, material, and time to help those in our community in need.
  • Good will and good faith in our speech, to assume the best of our neighbours and colleagues.
  • Encouraging cultural activities and art and having fun together.

Empowerment

We believe we need wise, bold, educated citizens to forge a better future. This manifests as:

  • Continuous research and pursuit of truth.
  • Teaching critical thinking.
  • Encouraging creativity and experimentation.

Neutrality

We believe in fostering objectivity and healthy detachment. This manifests as:

  • Refraining from harsh judgements and shaming.
  • Open-mindedness coupled with compassion for the humanity of others.
  • Non-allegiance to factions and ideology.

Where we have been and where we are going.

This project has been a dream of Alana Wilson’s for over 30 years. After reconnecting with her cousin, Jeff Wilson, in 2021, they started building all the components of what this dream looks like in reality.

Partnerships have been built along the way with Kimberley Stevens, Christina Weese, Suzi Cook, Jeremy Cook, and Garrett Longman in addition to Alana and Jeff to create the core team. Together, they have started hosting healing journeys and art retreats, established research opportunities in the areas of poultry and wild prairie environments, created a vision for the Crystal Beach Lake regeneration, and most recently, have started the process to bring the historic U of S barn to Crystal Beach for a new life.

Our next steps focus on investment, lake sustainability, continuing with retreats, building cabins, feasibility studies, and community involvement.

The future of this project is tiny villages, a centre for the community, a meadery, hotel, boating, fishing, retreats, classes, orchard, food forests, and more. Teaching ourselves to live in sync with nature to leave ourselves and nature better.

We aim to inspire others with all the ways we try to live in harmony and coach them to find the ways that will work for them.
